What you get in a kratom capsule

Every capsule here holds nano-milled Mitragyna speciosa leaf, the same style of leaf we sell loose by the bag, just pre-filled. These are leaf capsules, not extract tablets or gummies. Four strain names are on the shelf: Maeng Da Kratom Capsules, Borneo Kratom Capsules, Hulu Kratom Capsules and Super Kratom Capsules, each offered in Green, Red, White and Yellow. Curious how the four names differ on our listings? Our four-strain comparison puts them side by side.

We're a small shop, U.S. Army veteran-owned and online-only. Our listings stick to what the label says and the lab paperwork behind it, and the choice is yours. No statement here describes how a product might affect you.

Shop kratom capsules by strain

Every strain name on a kratom label is a trade name. Some started as places, one started as a grading word, and none is a certified origin. Most leaf reaching U.S. shelves grows in Indonesia, chiefly on Borneo's Indonesian side and on Sumatra, tended by smallholders or gathered from wild riverbank trees. None of our listings names a farm or growing region. All four capsule lines share the same colors, counts and price list. If you already buy a strain as loose powder, the capsule listing with the same name and color links the same color COA, so switching formats doesn't change the paperwork you check.

Maeng Da Kratom Capsules

Maeng Da capsules are our most-ordered capsule line, and the name has the longest backstory. It began as Thai trade slang, usually rendered as "pimp grade," that sellers attached to their best-selected leaf, so it marks a grade rather than a location. Once Thailand outlawed the trees, Indonesian growers took over the trade and kept the label, and Maeng Da leaf today usually comes from Kalimantan or Sumatra. Maeng Da Kratom Capsules come in Red, Green, White and Yellow. The capsules and the loose powder are grouped on Maeng Da kratom.

Borneo Kratom Capsules

Borneo names an island, not a farm. Three countries share it, and Indonesia's Kalimantan provinces cover roughly 73% of its land. Leaf sold under this name is usually grown there, often in villages along the Kapuas River in West Kalimantan. Borneo Kratom Capsules come in Red, Green, White and Yellow; "Red Borneo capsules" here just means that listing's Red option. Capsules and powder share the Borneo kratom page.

Hulu Kratom Capsules

In Indonesian, hulu refers to the upper reaches of a river. The trade name points to Kapuas Hulu, a sprawling regency at the head of the Kapuas River in West Kalimantan that borders Malaysia's Sarawak. Regency farm records from 2022 counted about 18,000 kratom growers there, most working riverbank plots. Hulu Kratom Capsules come in Red, Green, White and Yellow. Capsules and powder sit together on Hulu kratom.

Super Kratom Capsules

Super describes the leaf, not a location. Sellers generally use it for bigger, older leaves set aside at harvest, and it appears as Super Green, Red and White on leaf from Indonesia or, less often, Malaysia. No shared standard exists, so meanings differ by vendor; our Super capsules hold leaf milled from mature leaves. Super Kratom Capsules come in Red, Green, White and Yellow, which makes "Super Green capsules" the Green option of that one listing. You'll find both formats on Super kratom.

How the leaf colors are made: drying and fermentation

A capsule shell hides the powder, so the color name is your main clue to how that leaf was handled, and that handling happens well before milling and filling. Two factors set the name. One is the leaf's veins, which shift from pale to green to red as a leaf ages, with tree genetics, soil and light also involved. The other is post-harvest work. Hand-picked leaves are spread to dry in open sun, which commonly finishes within a day to three days, or on shelves inside dim, fan-ventilated sheds, which takes longer. Some batches are bagged to ferment before drying. On every capsule listing, color is a separate option with its own COA.

Red kratom capsules

The leaf behind red capsules is usually older, red-veined growth. A common extra step is fermentation: freshly picked leaves sit sealed in jute sacks or heaped under cover in the dark for roughly 24 to 72 hours, then get dried outdoors or inside. That yields a deeper, rust-brown powder. Every capsule line has a Red option: Maeng Da, Borneo, Hulu and Super. All Red capsules and powders are on Red kratom.

Green kratom capsules

Green capsule leaf generally comes from green-veined leaves picked partway through maturing. Producers want to hold that color, so drying tends to be brisk and cool, frequently under a roof with moving air, sometimes ending with a short spell outdoors. A Green option is on every capsule line: Maeng Da, Borneo, Hulu and Super. All Green listings are gathered on Green kratom.

White kratom capsules

White capsule leaf is generally young growth with light-colored veins. Most accounts have it drying fully indoors, in shaded rooms with fans and little sunlight, which keeps the powder pale, though a few producers dry white leaf outside. White is available on each capsule line: Maeng Da, Borneo, Hulu and Super. All White listings are gathered on White kratom.

Yellow kratom capsules

Yellow isn't a vein color, since kratom leaves never grow yellow veins. It names a finishing method, and producers describe several: drying white or green leaf longer or in more sun, a brief ferment before drying, or mixing colors. Two suppliers' yellows may be made quite differently. Yellow is offered on each capsule line: Maeng Da, Borneo, Hulu and Super. Every Yellow listing is collected on Yellow kratom.

What a color name can and can't tell you

A color name blends vein color with processing, and each farm does it a little differently. University of Florida researchers showed in 2025 that a single batch of leaves could end up reddish-brown or green depending on drying heat alone, and that finished powder color was not a reliable guide to alkaloid content. So each capsule color links its own lab report. For more, read understanding red, green and white kratom names.

Counts and price per capsule

Capsules are sold by count: 50, 100, 500, 1000 or 2000. Every strain and color uses one price list, so count is the only thing that changes what you pay. Product pages don't list a capsule fill weight, so compare price per capsule rather than per gram by dividing the price by the count. Larger counts lower the price per capsule. Current prices are on each product page, and our pack size and price guide shows how to compare.

Want to try several strains before a larger count? The Kratom Sample Pack is loose powder, not capsules: four 1 oz bags (Red Borneo, White Hulu, Green Maeng Da and Yellow Super) at a bundle price.

What's on a kratom capsule label

Each capsule listing shows an Ingredients line (Mitragyna speciosa powder) and a Contains line giving mitragynine at 1%–2% and hydroxymitragynine below 0.50%, matching the ranges printed for our leaf powders. That range describes the leaf, not each capsule, because the product pages don't state a fill weight. Check the strain, color, count and lot on the bag you receive against the color COA. If you need a capsule-shell detail that isn't on the page, email us before ordering and we'll answer from the package.

Choosing a count

Many customers start with a 50 count in a new color, then move to a larger bag of the color they come back to. Because colors share one price list, switching colors never changes the cost of a given count.

Capsules, powder or extract: format differences

These formats differ in packaging, not in any promised result. Kratom powder is the same kind of leaf sold loose by weight and costs least per gram, but you measure it yourself. Capsules arrive pre-filled and are sold by count, so they cost more per gram and need no measuring or mixing. Kratom extracts, such as tablets and gummies, are made from leaf extract and labeled by mitragynine (MIT) per piece. Leaf capsules carry no per-capsule MIT figure, so read the color COA for the lot you received.

How to match your capsules to a COA

All four capsule lines link the same color-level lab PDFs as the matching powders. Each report covers alkaloid, heavy metal and microbial panels. The reports name a color sample, not a strain, so open the PDF for the color you bought. To check yours:

  1. Find the strain, color and lot on your capsule bag.
  2. Open that color's PDF on the product page or on Lab Reports & COAs.
  3. Check that the lot and report date line up with your package.
  4. Look over each panel: the alkaloid results, the four heavy metals (lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium) and the microbial counts.

If anything doesn't match, email us with your order number. Our lab report walkthrough explains each section, and the label reading guide covers the Contains line.

Storing kratom capsules

Store the bag sealed, cool and dry, away from direct light. Humidity can make capsule shells soft or sticky, so reseal after each use and avoid bathrooms or hot cars. Larger counts can be split into smaller airtight containers; keep the original bag, or a photo of its label, so the lot number stays with your capsules. Keep kratom where children and pets can't reach it.

Buying capsules in bulk

The 1000 and 2000 counts are our largest capsule sizes. Ordering wholesale on a schedule or need an invoice? Visit Bulk Orders or get in touch. Large capsule orders use the same COAs and shipping limits that apply to everyday orders.

Where capsules can ship

Capsule orders go out from Olympia, WA within the United States only, and USPS ground is free once your order passes $50. In-stock orders usually leave within one business day. Because of local bans, we can't send kratom to Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Indiana, Louisiana, Rhode Island, Vermont, Wisconsin, Sarasota County FL, Union County MS, Denver CO, San Diego CA or Jerseyville IL. Sold to adults 21+ where lawful. Laws shift, so see kratom laws can change and our shipping policy first. EdengrowS gives no medical advice, and kratom has no FDA approval.

FAQs

What counts do kratom capsules come in?

Maeng Da, Borneo, Hulu and Super capsules are each sold in counts of 50, 100, 500, 1000 and 2000, in Red, Green, White and Yellow. One price list covers every strain and color; see each product page for current prices.

How are red, green, white and yellow kratom capsules different?

Each color reflects the leaf inside and how it was dried before milling. Red capsule leaf is usually older, red-veined growth that is often bagged to ferment for a day or more before drying. Green comes from mid-maturity leaves dried briskly at cooler temperatures, and white from young, pale-veined leaves dried mostly in shaded rooms. Yellow is a finishing method, such as longer drying or blending, not a vein color. Methods differ between farms, so every capsule color links its own lab report.

Where can I find lab reports for kratom capsules?

Every capsule page links a Certificate of Analysis for each color, and the full set is on our Lab Reports & COAs page. Capsules use the same color-level reports as the matching leaf powders, so check that the lot and report date line up with your package.

Are your kratom capsules leaf or extract?

Leaf. Each capsule holds nano-milled Mitragyna speciosa leaf powder, the same kind of leaf we sell loose by weight. Extract tablets and gummies are listed separately in Kratom Extracts.

Where can't you send kratom capsules?

Local bans mean we can't send kratom capsules to Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Indiana, Louisiana, Rhode Island, Vermont, Wisconsin, Sarasota County (FL), Union County (MS), Denver (CO), San Diego (CA) and Jerseyville (IL). Everywhere else in the United States where kratom is lawful, adults 21+ can order. Rules shift over time, so confirm your local law first.

Where do kratom capsule orders ship from, and is shipping free?

Capsule orders leave Olympia, Washington and ship within the United States only, with no international shipping. Orders over $50 get free USPS ground shipping, and in-stock items typically ship within one business day.
