Leaf powder, sold by weight

Kratom powder is dried Mitragyna speciosa leaf, nano-milled and sold loose by weight. Four leaf strains live here: Maeng Da, Borneo, Hulu and Super Kratom Powder, in Red, Green, White and Yellow. One listing is different: Kratom Extract Powder 55% is a salt-extracted powder sold by its labeled mitragynine percentage, not milled leaf.

"Nano-milled" means the leaf is ground to a very fine, even powder, finer than a tea cut or crushed leaf. Fine powder mixes evenly and packs densely, so a 1 oz bag looks smaller than you might expect. Color, aroma and texture can vary slightly from lot to lot, because it is a natural leaf product.

EdengrowS is a small, U.S. Army veteran-owned online shop. We list what is on the label and link the lab paperwork, and we leave the rest to you. Nothing on this page is a claim about how any product will affect you.

Strain names are trade names that began as a place name or a grading term. Most kratom sold in the U.S. is grown in Indonesia, mainly Kalimantan (Indonesian Borneo) and Sumatra, on small family farms and wild riverside trees. Our product pages don't name a farm or growing area, so read each name as the way the leaf is sold, not a certified origin. Every strain comes in the same four colors and five bag sizes. For a side-by-side table, see Maeng Da vs Borneo vs Hulu vs Super.

Maeng Da Kratom Powder

Maeng Da is one of the best-known kratom trade names and our most-ordered leaf powder. The name is Thai slang that translates roughly as "pimp grade," a seller's way of marking a top grade. It isn't a place, and farms apply it to their own selected leaf. When Thailand restricted kratom trees for decades, the trade and the name moved to Indonesia, where Maeng Da is now typically grown, often in Kalimantan or Sumatra. Maeng Da Kratom Powder comes in Red, Green, White and Yellow. Its 4 oz and 1 lb bags are priced a little above the other three strains. Powder and capsules are grouped on Maeng Da kratom.

Borneo Kratom Powder

Borneo is a place-based name. The island is shared by Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei, and leaf sold as Borneo is typically grown in Indonesian Kalimantan, about three-quarters of the island, especially West Kalimantan's Kapuas River basin. Borneo Kratom Powder comes in Red, Green, White and Yellow, so "Red Borneo" on our site is simply the Red option of this listing. See both formats on Borneo kratom.

Hulu Kratom Powder

Hulu is one of the few trade names that still points to a real growing area. "Hulu" means upriver, and the name comes from Kapuas Hulu ("Upper Kapuas"), a large regency in West Kalimantan along the upper Kapuas River near the Malaysian border. Thousands of smallholders there farm kratom on riverbanks. Hulu Kratom Powder comes in Red, Green, White and Yellow, and it shares one price list with Borneo and Super. Powder and capsules sit together on Hulu kratom.

Super Kratom Powder

Super is not a place. Across the market it usually means larger, more mature leaves picked for that lot, sold as Super Green, Red or White, typically from Indonesian or Malaysian leaf. Suppliers set their own definition; ours is milled from mature leaves. Super Kratom Powder comes in Red, Green, White and Yellow, which means "Super Green" here is the Green option of this one listing. Both formats are on Super kratom.

How red, green, white and yellow kratom are made

Color names come from two things: the vein color on the back of the leaf, and how the leaf is handled after picking. Vein color mostly tracks leaf age. Young leaves tend to have pale veins, veins turn green as the leaf matures, and the most mature leaves often show red veins, though genetics, soil and sunlight play a part. After harvest, leaves are sorted and dried, either outdoors on sheets in the sun, usually for one to three days, or indoors on racks in darker rooms with fans, which is slower. Some lots are fermented first. On our site, color is an option on each strain's product page, with its own lab report.

Red kratom powder

Red powder typically starts with mature, red-veined leaves. Many producers ferment them first, packing fresh leaves into sacks or covered piles in a dark room for one to three days, then dry them in the sun or indoors, giving a darker, reddish-brown powder. Red is offered on all four strains: Red Maeng Da, Red Borneo, Red Hulu and Red Super. Powder and capsules in Red are on Red kratom.

Green kratom powder

Green powder typically comes from green-veined leaves at middle maturity. The leaves are usually dried fairly quickly at lower heat, often indoors in the shade with fans and sometimes finished outside, so the powder keeps its green color. Green is offered on all four strains: Green Maeng Da, Green Borneo, Green Hulu and Super Green. Browse every Green listing on Green kratom.

White kratom powder

White powder typically comes from younger, pale-veined leaves. It is most often described as dried indoors in darker rooms with steady airflow and little direct sun, which keeps the powder light in color, although some producers use sun drying. White is offered on all four strains: White Maeng Da, White Borneo, White Hulu and White Super. Browse every White listing on White kratom.

Yellow kratom powder

No kratom tree grows yellow veins. Yellow is a processing name: producers describe longer or warmer drying of white or green leaf, a short fermentation before drying, or blending colors, and the method varies from one producer to the next. Yellow is offered on all four strains: Yellow Maeng Da, Yellow Borneo, Yellow Hulu and Yellow Super. Every Yellow listing is collected on Yellow kratom.

What the color name tells you, and what it doesn't

Color names are partly vein color and partly processing, and practices vary by farm. In a 2025 University of Florida study, leaves from one harvest dried at high heat turned reddish-brown while the same leaves dried cool stayed green, and powder color alone didn't track alkaloid content. That's why we post a lab report for each color. Our guide to red, green and white kratom product names covers more.

Bag sizes and price per gram

Leaf powder comes in 1 oz, 4 oz, 1 lb, 2.2 lb (1 kg) and a 25 kg box. To compare, divide the price by the weight in grams (1 oz is 28.35 g, 1 lb is 453.6 g). Borneo, Hulu and Super share one price list, and bigger bags cost less per gram. Maeng Da runs slightly higher in the 4 oz and 1 lb sizes. Prices are the same in every color within a strain, so color never changes what you pay. Current prices are always on each product page, and our guide to kratom pack sizes and price per gram walks through the math.

Trying more than one strain? The Kratom Sample Pack holds four 1 oz bags (Green Maeng Da, Yellow Super, Red Borneo and White Hulu) at a bundle price below four separate 1 oz bags. Prefer a coarser cut? See Crushed Leaf Kratom and check the page for current sizes.

Powder, capsules or extract: format differences

All three are on our shelves, and the difference is format, not a claim about results. Leaf powder is loose and sold by weight, so you measure it yourself and get the lowest price per gram. Kratom capsules hold the same kind of nano-milled leaf, pre-filled and sold by count, which costs more per gram but needs no measuring. Kratom extracts are made from leaf extract instead of milled leaf and are labeled by mitragynine (MIT) per piece, per bottle or by percentage. Whichever you pick, compare the label, the size and the lab report.

Buying in bulk

The largest leaf size is the 25 kg box, offered on every strain and color. For repeat wholesale orders, mixed strains or invoicing questions, see Bulk Orders or contact us. Bulk boxes follow the same lab paperwork, shipping rules and no-ship list as retail bags.

How to match your bag to its COA

Each leaf powder's Contains line states 1%–2% mitragynine and under 0.50% hydroxymitragynine, and the matching COA is linked by color on the product page. The leaf reports are color-level documents: Maeng Da, Borneo, Hulu and Super share the same Red, Green, White and Yellow PDFs until strain-specific lots are posted. To check yours:

  1. Note the strain, color and lot printed on your bag.
  2. Open the PDF for that color on the product page or on Lab Reports & COAs.
  3. Compare the lot and report date with your package.
  4. Read each panel: Mitragyna alkaloids, heavy metals (arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury) and microbiology.

If the details don't line up, email us with your order number before assuming the report applies. Our COA guide explains each section, and how to read a kratom product label covers the Contains line.

About Kratom Extract Powder 55%

The extract is labeled 55% mitragynine by weight and comes in 5 g, 10 g, 24 g and 48 g. Each batch report shows what that lot measured, so small differences from the label grade are normal. Because it's a different product type, don't compare it gram for gram against leaf powder. Other labeled-MIT formats are on Kratom Extracts.

Storing kratom powder

Keep bags sealed, cool, dry and out of direct light, and reseal after each use. Larger bags hold more air once opened, so some customers split a 1 kg pack into smaller airtight containers. Store kratom out of reach of children and pets.

Shipping a bag of powder

We ship within the United States only, from Olympia, Washington, and orders over $50 ship free by USPS ground. In-stock orders usually go out within one business day. Kratom is sold to adults 21+ where lawful. We can't ship kratom to Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Indiana, Louisiana, Rhode Island, Vermont, Wisconsin, Sarasota County FL, Union County MS, Denver CO, San Diego CA or Jerseyville IL. Local rules change, so read kratom laws can change and our shipping policy before ordering. Kratom is not FDA-approved, and EdengrowS does not provide medical advice.

FAQs

What sizes does kratom powder come in?

Our leaf powders (Maeng Da, Borneo, Hulu and Super) come in 1 oz, 4 oz, 1 lb, 2.2 lb (1 kg) and a 25 kg box, each in Red, Green, White and Yellow. Kratom Extract Powder 55% is a separate product sold in 5 g, 10 g, 24 g and 48 g. Current prices are on each product page.

What is the difference between red, green and white kratom?

The names come from the leaf's vein color and how the leaf is processed after picking. White usually starts with younger, pale-veined leaves dried mostly indoors; green with mid-maturity leaves dried fairly quickly at lower heat; red with mature, red-veined leaves that are often fermented for one to three days before drying. Yellow has no yellow vein and comes from longer drying, a short fermentation or blending. Practices vary by farm, so each color on our site has its own lab report.

Where are the lab reports for kratom powder?

Each leaf powder page links a Certificate of Analysis for every color, and all reports are collected on our Lab Reports & COAs page. The leaf reports are color-level documents shared by Maeng Da, Borneo, Hulu and Super. Match the lot and date on the report to your bag.

What's the difference between kratom powder and kratom capsules?

Both are the same kind of nano-milled Mitragyna speciosa leaf. Powder is loose and sold by weight; capsules are pre-filled and sold by count. The difference is format and price per gram, not a claim about results.

Which states and areas can't you ship kratom to?

Because of local bans, we don't ship kratom to Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Indiana, Louisiana, Rhode Island, Vermont, Wisconsin, Sarasota County (FL), Union County (MS), Denver (CO), San Diego (CA) and Jerseyville (IL). We ship to the rest of the United States where kratom is lawful, to adults 21+. Local rules can change, so check your area before ordering.

Where do you ship kratom powder from, and is shipping free?

Orders ship from Olympia, Washington within the United States only; we don't ship internationally. USPS ground shipping is free on orders over $50, and in-stock orders usually go out within one business day.
