Red Hulu Kratom Powder

EdengrowS Red Hulu Kratom Powder is red-labeled Mitragyna speciosa leaf, dried and milled to a fine powder and sold by weight. It belongs to our Hulu kratom collection and is also grouped on Red kratom with the shop's other red listings. This is ground leaf, not an extract, available only to buyers 21 or older in places that allow kratom.

How a Hulu lot ends up red

The leaves behind a red label are normally the mature ones, picked once the midrib has turned reddish. Many farms then hold the fresh leaf in bags or under tarps for one to several days, a light fermentation that darkens it, before laying it out to dry in the sun or in a heated shed. The longer and warmer that drying runs, the browner the powder gets. Farms tune these steps their own way, so "red" summarizes a process rather than a fixed recipe. For a plain-language rundown of how the color words are used, see our guide to red, green and white kratom names.

Where the Hulu name comes from

In Indonesian, hulu means the upper reaches of a river. The kratom trade borrowed it from Kapuas Hulu, a regency in West Kalimantan on Borneo that sits along the upper Kapuas, Indonesia's longest river, and is widely reported as a major kratom-growing district. Older EdengrowS listings sold this leaf as Jongkong, after a district in the same regency, and our Red Jongkong page later became Red Hulu. Hulu is still a trade name: our listing names no farm, so it is not a certificate of origin.

Sizes and label

Prices appear once you select a 1 oz, 4 oz, 1 lb or 2.2 lb (1 kg) bag, or a 25 kg box; every Hulu color costs the same. The Contains line reads 1%–2% mitragynine and under 0.50% hydroxymitragynine. A scoop is not included. Weigh it on a milligram scale; we sell one, the Digital Scale Lab Set. Wholesale and 25 kg box inquiries go to eden@edengrows.org.

Red lab report

Our red leaf powders, Red Hulu included, share one color-level lab document: the Red kratom COA (PDF). Compare the lot and issue date on it with your bag. All of our posted reports are on Lab Reports & COAs.
